THE CRAIGHEAD INSTITUTE

The Institute can offer the following:-

Professional Development in Organisational Consultancy and Facilitation:

the aim of this programme is to develop organisational consultants and facilitators able to work effectively in the development of groups, institutions and communities in the context of faith, values and beliefs in society.

The methodology used explores participants’ experience of consultancy and facilitation assignments drawing on insights from a systemic approach to organisations and an integrated approach to spirituality and discernment.

A Development Programme for Members of International Leadership Teams:

the aim of this programme is to energise and equip members of international leadership teams in order that they are enabled to lead and work with their teams and organisations in a sustained, faith filled way during their mandate.

The methodology used explores participants’ experience of faith filled leadership and management drawing on insights from systemic, dynamic and behavioural approaches to organisations within an integrated approach to spirituality and discernment.

Integrating Life and Faith Course:

this 4 Module course can be delivered in two ways:-
1           As a 9 month programme with 1 Saturday Orientation day and 6 evening sessions of 2.5 hours for each Module or:

2          As a 4 weekend programme with two full days on a Saturday and Sunday over a 9 month period and 3 base group meetings in between the weekends. Base group meetings are small groups meeting at a mutually convenient location and time with set homework and tasks.

This training course explores the role of Christians as citizens in society and the way in which they can make a difference.

Module 1: Trust Building and Communication skills

Module 2: Christianity and Social Concern

Module 3: The Word of God in Scripture, Life and Community

Module 4: Prayer/Discernment/Action

A minimum of 12 people are required to make this course viable. The cost of this course falls within the range between £600 and £800 per person depending on the location and method of delivery.

Faith Filled Leadership Event:

this 4 day seminar deals with authentic leadership and membership in organisations. It would be suitable for those team leaders and members, chief executives, directors, parish leaders and workers and those in the caring professions. Participants will discover energising and empowering ways of working and will find out how leadership and membership can work to further the mission of the organisation.

This training seminar is designed to give leaders and members opportunities to explore their way of working in the context of discernment, systemic justice and robust processes.

A minimum of 12 people are required to make this course viable. The cost of this event is between £475 and £545 per person depending on location of the event.

Facilitation Skills Training:

the Institute offers to a 4 day training course which offers the themes of:

Understanding basic principles of facilitation

Practice in facilitating groups

Learning tools for facilitation

Developing strategies for managing conflict in groups

Developing strategies for reaching consensus

This course is scheduled to take place from Monday 29th
to Wednesday 31st October with a follow up day on 5th December. It costs £395 per person. It can also be tailored to a specific remit as requested.

Consultancy and Facilitation:
the Institute works systemically with individuals, groups and organisations on the process of their development and growth, particularly in relation to the values and role in society. It offers a space to explore links between life and faith/values for people in their own context in business, health, education, politics, voluntary work, community development and church. The Institute has a network of Associate Consultants and Facilitators with wide international experience. The cost for one consultant/facilitator is £500 per day which includes a preparation meeting and a report at the end of the consultancy.

Mentoring and Supervision: the Institute offers one to one mentoring and supervision using Role Analysis especially for those in management and leadership positions voluntary and business organisations. This is an 8 session, 2 hourly programme which costs £80 per hour.

Conferences: the Institute also hosts 1 day conferences on a variety of subjects. On 10th November 2007, Professor Bart McGettrick will present a talk on Professional Leadership Through Values aimed at those in Leadership positions. This day costs £50 per person and includes a sandwich lunch.

 

Training Room: the Institute has a training room available for hiring at a cost of £100 per day including teas and coffees. It is suitable for groups of up to 20.

 

The Institute is a Premier Practice of the Institute of Management Consultancy, London. It is the first faith-based organisation to be awarded this professional benchmark in the UK and was the first Certified Practice based in Scotland.
