Use this article to record your Advent Reflection

Recording MP3 files
The Priests for Scotland initiative is currently gathering material in the preparation of podcasts. This section is provided to help those involved in preparing their reflection.

For those who wish to record an MP3 on their computer the following instructions may be helpful. A microphone will be required to complete this work. The MP3 recorder that was originally on this site proved unsuitable. Apologies for those who tried it and thanks to those who got in touch.

You can use this easy to use recorder MP3 Recorder.

Easy MP3 Recorder is a SHAREWARE to record audio to WAV or MP3 files. You Audio captured can be encoded to MP3, no temporary file needed. It also provides ID3 tag editor and audio editor to edit recorded files. You can use this software on a "trial" basis for fourteen days free of charge. 


The sound on your recording should be of good quality but it can be edited by Priests for Scotland in the final preparation stage.

Some information on the recorder (provided by the producers of this software).

    The software is easy to use, simply unzip the downloaded folder and click on the setup.exe file and follow the instructions.

    To record you will need to have a microphone on your PC or Laptop.

    Simply click on the Record Button and talk into the microphone. When complete save your file to your PC or Laptop and then email it as an attachment to amckenzie@pfs.org.uk
